scientist goodbye, skills instructor hello!

No, I haven't run off with a mountain biker, don't worry! I've just handed my notice in at my normal job last Thursday. Received no reaction from the bosses and found out today that they have already hired someone to start in January to do the mass spectrometry. This lack of overlap (I'll leave end November) will mean I bet I'll have to come back as a consultant to train this person up....nicely paid and on my conditions so not completely bad news!

Yesterday was the first mountain bike skills training course that I held. 6 eager participants turned up despite horrendous wind and rain! (So no photos I'm afraid!) They left very content and tired 6 hours later and I'm very happy with the whole thing. I know I'm doing the right career swap! Also the B&B has been a huge success! The comments in our guest book is almost embarrasingly nice! But to be honest it isn't exactly rocket science to run a very good B&B, just treat people the way you would like to be treated yourself and you have very happy customers!

I have found that due to you lot posting more and more on your blogs that I post less and less. By the time I've have time to catch up reading what everybody else has written I've run out of time and have to go and do something else and nothing gets written on mine. I do read them though. Don't think that because I don't leave comments very often that I don't take great interest and pleasure in reading what you all have been up to!

Ja, det var för väl, du finns fortfarande! Och mår bra, det är huvudsaken. Jag tror att det är bra att byta karriär några gånger i livet. Jag håller tummarna!
